We teach violin, viola, and cello to students of all ages and skill levels. Lessons combine healthy posture, bow technique, note reading, tone production, scales, and repertoire with a pace suited to each student.
Classical training provides the foundation, but students can also explore fiddle, jazz improvisation, popular music, and theory. Multiple instrument sizes and student rentals make it easier for young players to begin with equipment that fits.
Beyond classical
Mike Williams brings the violin into folk, bluegrass, rock, and contemporary styles while keeping solid technique and theory at the center of each lesson.
Students ready for live experience can work toward open mic nights and ensemble playing, learning how to listen, improvise, and collaborate with other musicians.
Parents of younger children are welcome to sit in so they understand what is being taught and how to support practice at home. Older students may be dropped off or wait independently; instructors reserve time at the end to discuss progress and next steps.
“Lauren has been wonderful with both of my boys—very patient, positive, and helpful in communicating about their progress.”Jennifer Williams · Google Review
